SEARCH AND RESCUE, TRAILING IN SOUTH CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA
Search and rescue (SAR) and trailing training teaches dogs to locate missing persons by following scent trails over various terrains. Dogs learn to identify human scent, track it accurately, and signal the find to their handler. This challenging work strengthens problem-solving, focus, and confidence while providing a purposeful activity.
SAR and trailing provide excellent mental and physical stimulation, building endurance, scenting skills, and teamwork. For owners, it’s a rewarding experience that develops communication, handling skills, and trust with their dog while contributing to a meaningful skill set.
This training is suitable for any breed or mixed breed. Whether your dog is a high-energy working breed or a motivated companion, SAR and trailing training can be adapted to fit your dog’s abilities and experience level.
